Sales reconciliation

Sales movements pass through reviewed finance rules into a versioned publication. Reports and exports retain their period, scope and rule version, so another reader can reproduce the result.

From source to publication

Keep original movements. Apply the approved classification and calculation rules. Review source corrections with their evidence, record who approved them and preserve earlier versions. Publish only after validation. Repeating a correction must not duplicate a movement or alter unrelated channels.

The managed deployment and daily run were checked on 16 October 2026. The latest publication was validated through the previous day. Recent finance corrections have recorded application and repeat checks. These are operating results, not just a working screen.

The current reporting interface and its exports exclude wholesale. Their subtotal must not be described as the whole company. The underlying complete publication has a separate scope. Channel detail is part of its parent total, not extra revenue to add again.

Explore sales reconciliation. The example uses fictional channels and a fictional version. It does not expose sales, accounting documents or finance rules from the company.

Applying the method elsewhere

Attach a publication version to each export. Show which channels are included. When source records change, retain the correction, evidence and previous result. Sales reconciliation is not a certified P&L or an automatic audit of every original document.
